Your server in our hub

How players find your server in our hub, how the list is ordered, votes, the commands our network keeps, and the hub's chat rules.

Our hub, play.quarrymc.net, is where players pick a server to join. It is the only server list we run. Players move to your server on the same connection, with no disconnect.

Getting listed

New servers are not listed. Turn on Show in the hub's server list in Settings. Your server's name and MOTD pass a word filter before they show; a line with a blocked word, a link or personal details is left out. A server that is not listed stays private to players who know its address.

How the list works

Players open it with the Servers compass, the swap-hands key (F), the person by spawn, or /servers (with a search, like /servers lifesteal). It is a chest menu for everyone.

The order:

  1. Boosted servers, marked "Boosted", by players online. See Credits and plans.
  2. Other servers with players, by players online.
  3. Servers with nobody on, most recently played first.

Each entry shows the name, the first line of your MOTD, players online, region and the versions it accepts. A sleeping server shows "sleeping" and wakes when picked. If a player's version cannot join, the list says so. Players can search and filter by version and region. At the top, each player sees the last few servers they played.

Votes

Players can vote for your server once a day in the hub: right-click it in the list, or /vote <server>. Each vote earns you credits. Votes use the player's real Minecraft account, so they cannot be faked by name.

Your servers menu in the hub

Owners and team admins can start, stop, restart and check their servers from the Your servers item in the hotbar. Link your Minecraft account first: see /claim.

Commands our network keeps

  • /hub works on every server and on the waiting screen. No owner can turn it off.
  • In the hub only: /vote, /friend, /party, /msg, /r and /report. On your server, these names go to your own plugins.
  • /claim with one of our codes. Any other /claim goes to your plugins.

Our proxy does not answer BungeeCord plugin messages, so plugin buttons that send players to another server do nothing. Tell players to type /hub.

Friends and parties

In the hub, players add friends, make parties and send private messages by Minecraft name, with no account. A party joins a server together.

Hub chat rules

Hub chat is filtered for a young audience: slurs, sexual words, links, spam and personal details (phone numbers, addresses, emails, social media names) are blocked. Mild swearing is allowed. A blocked message is not sent, and the sender is told why. Nothing bans anyone automatically.

Our staff can mute, kick and keep players out of the hub. That never applies to your server: its chat and bans are yours.

Hub cosmetics

Owners on a paid plan get hub cosmetics: trails, hats, a chat tag and a pet. They show in our hub only and are never sold on their own.
