Extra ports and web plugins
How plugins with their own web page or port, such as maps and voice chat, work on our network.
Your server has no public port of its own. Everything goes through our proxy, which keeps it private. Plugins that need more work on every plan, at no cost.
Web plugins
Plugins such as BlueMap serve a web page. We serve it over HTTPS at your server's name on a separate
pages domain, with the plugin's path after it, for example /map/. The pages domain will be
listed here before the beta.
- The page loads only while your server is awake. A sleeping server shows a short page saying so.
- Plugins never see visitors' addresses. Very large uploads are refused.
- The pages domain is kept apart from our website, so a plugin page can never reach your account. Do not trust cookies on these pages for anything private.
Plugins with their own port
Plugins such as Simple Voice Chat use their own port. We open it on our proxy for your server.
If it does not work
- Check the plugin is made for your version and loaded (see Plugins).
- A web page needs the server awake.
- If the plugin needs to reach a website, ask for it under Internet access.
